Pat Carr

Managing Director

Pat's vast experience and standards have earned him a respected position in today’s security and events industries. He has worked in all facets within the security field, from consultative roles and operational planning to business strategy and delivery. Pat has undertaken a lead role on over 500 major events with attendances between 75,000 and 125,000 attendants.

After a successful career in the army, Pat started in business in 1996, forming ISC in 2003. For the past twelve years he has been involved in security planning and provision for some of the UK and Europe’s most prestigious and high profile events, including London’s millennium celebrations, Tiger Woods in Hyde Park, the funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales and music events for Michael Jackson, U2, Robbie Williams, Madonna, The Rolling Stones and Prince. He has implemented security across locations from festival sites, concerts and major sporting arenas to the country’s most unique and challenging venues. Pat was employed as senior operations manager at the original Wembley Stadium and has since been the new stadium’s event day safety officer on numerous occasions.

Pat has been published in various magazines and has lectured and appeared on television as an authority on crowd management and security issues. He was an integral part on the operational planning team for the opening of the rebuilt iconic venue. He is fully trained and qualified in all facets of security provision and has attended and lectured on a multitude of courses. He is one of a few civilians to be invited to attend the Police Major Events Commanders Training Course.

Having established a superb team to undertake ISC’s operational roles, Pat’s day to day focus is on building relationships with ISC’s clients and the strategic development of the company. He passionately believes in working to raise industry standards and is committed to maintaining ISC’s unsurpassed level of service in client provision, training and quality assurance.


Nabeela Bhutta

Head of Finance

As head of finance and the company secretary, Nabeela is responsible for all financial and legal matters, including the accounts, bank and HMRC audits, sales and purchase ledgers and client credit control. She also oversees green policies for ISC, incorporating her beliefs in creating an environmentally conscious business.

After qualifying as a biochemist, she decided on a career change and helped to form ISC in 2003. She has since worked continuously to help develop ISC into the organisation it is today. As one of ISC’s senior managers, she is constantly involved in the strategic planning and development of the business.


Nick Woodhouse

General Manager

Nick has wide and extensive operational strategic and tactical experience gained over many years, working in many prestigious and industry leading sporting, recreational, arts, music and concert venues. He has a proven track record in major international and national event and venue management which has included analysing and reviewing business performance, to facilitating and implementing sophisticated operational solutions.

Nick re-joined ISC in 2014 having left Wembley National Stadium and is responsible for the coordination of the consultancy projects for the company, current clients include The London O2 Arena, London 185 Stadium, the Harlequins Rugby Union Club.

Prior to joining ISC Nick undertook the role of Head of Event & Safety Compliance, for the Wembley National Stadium. He was initially responsible for the development of the strategic facility and event safety operational planning ensuring a coordinated, consistent, and integrated approach to safety, security and compliance across all aspects of the stadium.

From establishing the strategic management overview he implemented the tactical and operational processes, this involved the establishment and coordination of cross partner management groups, the external statutory and emergency agencies to review, design, develop, formulate and implement policies, procedures and processes relating not only to major events but also the general day to day management of the stadium.

Nick undertook the role of the Stadium’s Safety Officer, this involved taking the strategic planning processes and implementing live tactical processes, he has now been responsible for in excess of 170 major events since the new stadium opened, including profile events such as the FA Cup Final, Champions League Finals 2011 & 2013, FIFA & UEFA international matches, the 2012 Olympic matches including the men’s & women’s finals, Football League competitions and play offs, Rugby League, American Football, and numerous high profile concerts and special events.

Prior to joining Wembley, Nick worked for ISC on consultancy based projects he undertook a number of senior management positions at international and national recognised venues and events, which included:

Twickenham RFU Stadium, Earls Court, Wembley Arena, Buckingham Palace - 2003 Centenary Concerts, Knebworth Park - Robbie Williams Concerts, London New Year’s Day Parade & London Festival Parade, The Virgin V & Leeds Festivals.


Amanda Randall

Head of Quality Assurance

Amanda has worked within the security industry for over 10 years, teaching and developing e-learning platforms for a number of international security companies. She joined ISC in 2007 and is responsible for project managing successful certification to the highest levels of quality assurance within the security industry. These include NSI (National Security Inspectorate) Guarding Gold, incorporating ISO 9001 and security industry British Standards, ACS (Approved Contractor Scheme) and the health & safety accreditation SAFEContractor.

Amanda is certified to the level of Lead Auditor ISO 9001:2008 and NVQ level 4 Further Education Teaching. She works closely with all departments, making recommendations for improvement to operational procedures and documentation. Amanda monitors the effectiveness of continual improvement of operations, by a process of internal audits and contract auditing to clients’ service levels agreements. She is also responsible for the development of internal Continual Professional Development courses and workshops.


Katherine Oduro

HR Manager

Katherine handles all day to day personnel issues and oversees the staff recruitment, selection and training processes. She is also the first point of contact for staff queries, grievances and disciplinary issues.

Whilst with ISC, Katherine has studied and achieved a level 7 award in Managing Employee Relations (MER) and was also recently awarded an Advanced Level 7 in Human Resources, specialising in Employment Law by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, CIPD. She is currently a student member of the CIPD, working toward her associate membership.

Katherine's responsibilities are continually growing and she loves the diversity of her work within ISC. She has a history in retail HR, GNVQ in Business Studies and a degree in Marketing and Business Information Technology.


Shahbaz Mahay

HR Administrator

Shahbaz joined ISC in 2010 as an event steward and moved to the office in 2012 to work in the HR department, assisting with interviews and organising training for all workers. His duties also include monitoring the status of security officers’ licences, updating their records and also helping out with various HR duties and functions.

Shahbaz’s role as a steward has helped him understand the recruitment process, and the characteristics of a good steward, all of which are invaluable when interviewing potential new employees. His stewarding experiences also helps to link HR with all the other departments, and he often supports the operations department with events.

Shahbaz has a varied background, is qualified in business and marketing but he has also worked in sales, finance and administration. Shahbaz also holds an event day role as a steward.


Tim Beeden

Payroll & Finance Manager

Tim joined ISC in 2007, having previously worked with the senior management team between 1998 and 2002.

As ISC’s Payroll Manager Tim is responsible for all the staff payroll, including pensions, tax matters and all monthly payments.

Tim also works closely with the head of finance in all financial matters including invoicing, bank reconciliation, updating ledgers and client management.

Tim has an extensive knowledge of Sage Accountancy and Payroll software.
